Live mode is the easiest way to use Clonezilla. Simply boot your computer from the Clonezilla live CD or USB drive, and follow the prompts. Server mode is more complex and requires you to install and configure Clonezilla on a server. Once you have booted into Clonezilla, you will be presented with a menu of options. The most important option is the "Clone Disk" option. This is the option you will use to clone your disk or partition.

Step-by-Step Guide on How to Use Clonezilla

  1. Clonezilla will work in both GUI and terminal mode. To use the GUI, select your preferred language and press Enter.
  2. You will be prompted to select your keyboard layout. Select your preferred keyboard layout and press Enter.
  3. Clonezilla will ask you to enter the hostname of the server. Enter the hostname of the server and press Enter.
  4. You will be asked to select the mode in which you want to use Clonezilla. You can choose between the ‘Beginner’ and ‘Expert’ modes. For this tutorial, we will select ‘Beginner’ mode and press Enter.
  5. Clonezilla will now ask you to select the disk to be cloned. In our case, we will choose ‘Local_Dev.’
  6. It'll ask you to select the disk to be saved. In our case, we will choose ‘NFS_Share’.
  7. Clonezilla will ask you to enter the NFS server address. Enter the IP address of your NFS server and press Enter.
  8. The app will now start cloning the selected disk.
  9. Once the cloning process is completed, you will be prompted to unmount the disk. Press ‘y’ and press Enter to unmount the disk.
  10. Clonezilla will now ask you to reboot the system. Press ‘y’ and press Enter to reboot the system.
